Kingscote is an English wine that required new branding. The logo needed to be iconic and bold to appeal to shelf browsers, and memorable and recognisable for repeat custom. It needed to look modern, and still communicate the Kingscote Estates historical and regal heritage, to appeal to a customer with an appreciation of tradition. It needed to reflect the premium quality of the product.

Constructing the logo

The K of Kingscote (creating a strong tie between logo and brand name) is the valiant king defending his land, with the crown atop his head and his sword held high. Behind him the sun rises over the rollings hills of Sussex, England, the very land he protects, and the plantations of Kingscote vineyard.
